The hotel's location is fantastic, close to key attractions like shopping, cocktails, and the royal mile. The rooms were on the tiny side and lacked a cooked breakfast option. The staff, especially the chambermaid, were accommodating and friendly. The dining experience offered a good mix of Scottish and European cuisine but was somewhat random. The outstanding location and friendly service compensated for the limited room size and breakfast choices.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel with a 270-degree view of Edinburgh, including the Castle and the Firth of Forth. The room was very clean, spacious, and had an extra-large bathroom. The staff were polite and helpful, and the location was brilliant with easy access to all the sights in both New Town and Old Town.

Rooms

The room overlooking the beautiful city of Edinburgh was very clean and comfortable. It even happened to be wheelchair accessible, which was a nice touch.

The dining experience offered a wide selection of foods, from croissants to fresh salads. However, there was some confusion about booking breakfast time slots that resulted in us missing out before check-out.

Staying at the hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were cozy and clean, offering a lovely view of the gardens, including an ice rink and carousel. Across the road, there were iconic stores like Louis Vuitton and Harvey Nichols. The only downside was the view from one side of the room into a brick wall, but overall, the rooms had a charming Scottish touch.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms had a fabulous view overlooking the gardens and were equipped with all necessary amenities.
Service

The service was exceptional, with a thoughtful gesture for a special birthday celebration. The staff was friendly, efficient, and accommodating, although some staff members seemed inexperienced.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect, with easy access to the ice rink and town center. The hotel's proximity to key attractions and friendly staff enhanced the overall stay.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was satisfactory but could use more variety, especially for vegetarians. It would have been nice to have a wider fruit selection for breakfast.
Facilities

The facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay but could benefit from minor improvements.

7.2/10

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were small and basic but very clean, although tiny and claustrophobic. The rain hitting the metal roof outside made it hard to sleep, which was not the hotel's fault. The service was a bit inconsistent - the staff were friendly but seemed unorganized at times. The location was perfect for exploring the city with easy access to shops, restaurants, and transportation. The dining experience was decent, with a good variety of breakfast options but the breakfast room was often crowded. Overall, it was an adequate stay, albeit slightly cramped and overpriced for what it offered.

The hotel had clean and good-sized rooms, but there was a bit of noise due to the wind tunnel effect. Although the room was smaller than expected, it still provided a comfortable stay with some added bonuses.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were clean and a good size for two people, but there was some noise from the window due to the wind tunnel effect. They were a bit small compared to my previous stay, but the extra bonuses made up for it.
Service
7.0
The service was very helpful, especially in finding a spa nearby. However, it took a while for the staff to notice us as they were chatting among themselves. Despite a disappointing incident with the late departure cleaning, the overall service was good.
Location

The location was amazing, centrally located but not too loud. It was easy to access various attractions in Edinburgh on foot without feeling crowded. Being close to train and bus stations was a big plus, especially during the festive season.
Dining
